Ready to ride?

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

It’s that time of year again. Everyone is dusting off their bikes, breaking out the bike cleaner and getting ready for another sweet ass riding season. Ray and I have been working on pumping out some great new Hog Bites like how to clean your carburetor along with our maintence DVDs to get everyone’s riding season started off right!

Especially these days with the economy is going through the same motions that your average toilet does when it is flushed, it’s more important than ever to be savvy with your own bike and save some serious $$$$$. On top of that it’s a hell of a lot more fun.

As you can read in some of Uncle Ray’s blogs he has been putting some pressure on me to get our Bobber project set to film. I don’t know why, It’s only been a year or so since I started collecting parts. In all realism everything is about there. The problem is that I like to continually make or try out new parts and designs which is one of the things that keeps it fun for me. My goal is to have the bike all set up with all parts working perfectly together before we begin. This will make it easier for me to go over explain weather the customer wants to build their own bike from a number of aftermarket parts or purchase a bike in a box kit to assemble.

Getting Close

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

Just got word from Michael today we are just about ready to start shooting B.Y.O.B. (build your own bike) I have been waiting for this since we started our company!

I want to thank our VIP members for the tremendous response to our Softail/Dyna Glide maintenance DVD. I guess a lot of members were waiting for it.

I have not been sitting around doing nothing. I have Hog Bites 8,9,10, and 11 just about ready for action. I have also been working on a big surprise product to be released just about tax time. You know April 15th .

We are very fortunate to have found the vendors that we have on this journey. It is nice to be able to ask questions and not get billed for it. So your chance to ask questions of Michael will be in two Saturdays at 10:00 am PST in Chew The Fat live chat on March 29th. He can’t type as well as he can twist a wrench but he does have a lot of knowledge.

Hope to see all of you there.

Got ‘ER Done

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

What a week. It has been just crazy around here. Last Friday I drove up to Irvine to pick up our new maintenance DVD “Keep Your Hands Off My Softail/DynaGlide” from all 4 DVD a great group of people. Then yesterday had a meeting with our graphics and web page people at e-works media of Rancho Mirage to give me some help in getting the DVD up on our site. By 10 AM this morning it was done!

I guess my point is we have met some wonderful people on this journey and had some some fantastic response for our new found customers.

This old toad needs some rest for a couple of days!

Finally It Is Here !

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Just got them Friday and I am talking about our newest maintenance video for the Softail, Dyna Glide, Fatboy, and Evolution from 1986 on. All in one DVD. Tomorrow will get it posted on our website and then send out a special offer to all of our VIP members.

Next I have been pushing Michael to get the rest of his stuff together for B.Y.O.B. (build your own bike) DVD. That will be a big production because after he mocks it up then it gets sent out for paint and then reassembled. That means gaps in production. We have to deal with weather out here. As you pray for winter to be over, we pray summer dosen’t start early. It has already started to get up in the 80’s which means 90’s and 100’s to follow then it’s too hot to shoot.

In the meantime I am working on an audio video tutorial about downloadable files. I sense a hesitation from the emails I get about getting video as a download. Then perhaps a tutorial about the QuickTime player and why we use that rather than the Windows Media player.

Time to close and thanks for your support.
